This custom illustration, featured on a poster and invitation design, was for Grassroots Gardens of Buffalo’s 5th Harvest Celebration, their annual fundraiser and membership meeting.

The illustration for the poster and invitation was created on a piece of recycled cardboard and employs acrylic paint, graphite and collage, as well as hand lettering for the title type. The materials, method, and execution of the illustration continued the concept of this poster series, in which city residents reclaim vacant city property and transform them into beautiful community gardens – turning what was once discarded property into viable, usable space.
